World Teachers’ Day

A fond memory of mine is my English teacher who ‘forced’ us read To Kill a Mockingbird for our English GCSE studies. I recall none of the class being that interested to start with but I absolutely loved it and still do.

I also have fond memories of my French teacher, Mr Cobb, he really brought French lessons alive and had such an unusual teaching style his lessons will always stay with me.

My daughter is in her third year at university studying Education with the intent of becoming a primary school teacher. She already has stories to tell 😉

My favourite teacher was Mrs. Ross. She, along with my parents, encouraged my reading habit. I have great memories of her. Now my son is training to be a teacher.

Isn’t it lovely that you can still recall teachers that had such an impact. Sign of a great teacher I think. Hopefully the students of our trainees will think the same 🙂
