My month in books – July

What’s happened in July?

What with a week’s holiday in France, a trip to Wimbledon and participating in 2 book blog tours July has been a busy month for me and the blog. My reading has picked up considerably; a massive difference to June in fact.

The blog tours were for Holly Martin’s Fairytale Beginnings and Ann Troup’s The Lost Child, you can click the book title to go to my reviews; both I would recommend for different reasons and for different readers. In fact, I wrote my review for The Lost Child from the gite I was staying at in France; not a bad place to write a blog post eh!

I also managed to squeeze in a visit to Booka Bookshop in Oswestry to Cathy Rentzenbrink’s talk on her memoir The Last Act of Love. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t planning on reading this book as I thought it would just be too sad, but I was asked to go to the event by my book club members so off I went. Cathy’s talk was extremely sad and at one point I felt myself filling up but it was also very hopeful and inspirational and so I bought the book too with the full intention of reading it!

Looks like you had a great month! La Ville Voisin sounds like a very relaxing place to spend your vacation. A lot of books you read this month are on my TBR as well!
