Here’s a quick post on the lovely swap parcel I received from my gifter all the way from Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA.
It was a little late in arriving and I was beginning to think it would never arrive; but it was certainly worth the wait as the person sending had gone to a lot of trouble.
My books and notebooks were all wrapped up individually and the letter was folded and sealed with a little sticker – such thought and attention to detail.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s by Truman Capote
We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves by Karen Joy Fowler
3 x notebooks
2 postcards from Minnesota & a sheet of fun facts
Some Amercian snacks
A lovely handwritten letter in the most beautiful handwriting
I sent my parcel to Florida with some information on my home town Bridgnorth, in Shropshire. In hindsight I probably wouldn’t post internationally again as the postage alone cost me almost £16.00 and I’ve not heard as yet, if the parcel has been received and if the receiver liked what I’d sent. I know there’s no obligation on anyone’s part, it would just be a relief to know it had arrived. But it’s been a great experience and I hope to keep in touch with my sender Nahree, via social media and our blogs.
