My month in books – October

I’ve had a bit of a disappointing month with 3 of the 4 books I’ve read this month. It’s really hard to find your reading mojo when you’ve had a run of books that you’ve felt weren’t quite up to par or that you didn’t enjoy for one reason or another.

I asked my daughter to pick my next read for me and she gave me Safe Haven so that we can watch the movie together and rip it to pieces 🙂

So where do you find your inspiration for your next read? Do you go for something completely different or stick to what you know?

Books read: 4

Dear ThingThe Third WifeThe Silent WifeSafe Haven

Books added to the TBR:

The Girl on the TrainThe Girl in the Photograph

Currently reading: The Way You Look Tonight by Richard Madeley

Favourite book for October: Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks

I know how you feel, I’ve read a few disappointing ones recently too. To get my reading mojo back I put the review books aside and pick something by a favourite author from my shelves that I know I will enjoy. Hope you find something good soon.

I’ve had a weird reading month as well. Shall we just mark October down as weird?!

It’s a shame when the books you read don’t do it for you as relaxing and reading time is so precious 🙂
