On a particularly wet February evening I travelled the hour to Oswestry to Booka book shop for the Lobster Love book tour stop off.
After getting there a bit late (couldn’t find the shop), bought the book and had it signed straight away by Graeme we found our seats. He’s a really interesting amusing man and had us all laughing really quickly.
Graeme gave us a really interesting, funny talk of his background of how he went from being a data modeller to best selling author, being a self confessed geek and the numerous courses that he’d completed (ie MBA, screen writing course, think there may have been more but can’t recall), He gave us tales of his old friend (which Don Tillman may or may not be based on, the jury’s out there!). Although Graeme did say Don is based on 1/3 his friend, 1/3 him & a 1/3 made up!
Good news for fans of The Rosie Project as Graeme revealed that there will be a sequel, possibly to be released around the autumn!
The Rosie Project
Love isn’t an exact science – but no one told Don Tillman. A thirty-nine-year-old geneticist, Don’s never had a second date. So he devises the Wife Project, a scientific test to find the perfect partner. Enter Rosie – ‘the world’s most incompatible woman’ – throwing Don’s safe, ordered life into chaos. But what is this unsettling, alien emotion he’s feeling?
If you do get the chance to pop along to one of these do, it’ll be a fun evening – see events list here The Rosie Project Events
