My month in books – January

Books read: 6 (and 3/4)

I’m 3/4 of the way through Binocular Vision by Edith Pearlman. This was our book club choice for December and I’ve really struggled with it. It’s a collection of short stories so pick it up when I feel so inclined (which isn’t very often). I’m sure you all the feel the same that our reading time is precious so to force yourself to read something you’re not loving is hard work. I’m determined to finish it though!

Quite a varied selection this month don’t you think?

I have decided since watching the latest Miss Marple and Poirot episodes that I should read Agatha Christie again. My Mum had some of her books which I read years ago. I have read The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, a good book but difficult to say that you enjoyed such harrowing material. The Book Thief is excellent, I have yet to see the film.

I’m more of a Marple fan rather than Poirot and am really looking to The Book Thief film as well.
      Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
