I’ve no idea where this survey originated but I saw it over at Jenny in Neverland’s blog and thought oooh what I good idea…so here’s my answers:
Author You’ve Read The Most Books Of: Without a shadow of a doubt it’s John Grisham
Best Sequel Ever: I haven’t actually read this book yet because it’s not out for another week or so but I have high hopes and expectations for Sycamore Row by John Grisham – the sequel to A Time to Kill
Currently Reading: The Carrier by Sophie Hannah
Drink Of Choice While Reading: Cuppa tea
eReader or Physical Book: mmm difficult choice, I’ve only recently bought myself a Kindle Paperwhite but I still love to read a paperback and the majority of my to read pile are paperbacks. Kindles are good for ease and availability but you can’t beat the feel or smell of a brand new paperback!
Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School: mmmmm given half the chance maybe Edward Cullen or Jacob Black from Twilight or Noah from The Notebook
Glad You Gave This Book A Chance: Jodi Picoult’s Handle with Care…This was the first Picoult novel I’d read and I’m really glad my daughter introduced me to her books as I really enjoy them. I have so many to catch up on though!
Hidden Gem Book: Me Before You by Jojo Moyes..I read as part of book club and to be honest wasn’t expecting much from the fluffy pink cover but it’s a brilliant read
Important Moment In Your Reading Life: Probably starting my blog almost a year ago, sharing my thoughts and virtually meeting lots of like minded book people
Just Finished: A Tap on the Window by Linwood Barclay
Kinds Of Books You Won’t Read: Sci-fi and horror
Longest Book You’ve Read: Well…I attempted Anna Karenina at over 800 pages and only got half way so I guess that doesn’t count.
Major Book Hangover Because Of: Usually a John Grisham or Jodi Picoult novel is not far away…
Number of Bookcases You Own: 2 but then there’s always floorspace
One Book You Have Read Multiple Times: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Preferred Place To Read: Bed – cosy & quiet
Quote That Inspires You/Gives You All The Feels From A Book You’ve Read: From my favourite book, To Kill A Mockingbird:
You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view . . . until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.
People generally see what they look for, and hear what they listen for.
Reading Regret: Not finishing Anna Karenina but there are so many others books to read I couldn’t force myself any longer
Series You Started And Need To Finish: Just read the first in the Kate Shackleton Mystery series by Frances Brody called Dying in the Wool – I would like to read more of these.
Three Of Your All-Time Favourite Books: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden and John Grisham’s A Time to Kill
Unapologetic Fangirl For: Don’t think I’d apologise for reading any book I fancied. I’m not a book snob. I’ve read the Fifty Shades Trilogy and Twilight Saga, both of which I enjoyed for different reasons 😉
Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others: Again, that would be Sycamore Row by John Grisham
Worst Bookish Habit: I’m really impatient so I scan down the page at crucial moments to find out what happens quicker
X Marks The Spot: Start At The Top Left Of Your Shelf And Pick The 27th Book: Killing Floor by Lee Child. I really want to get into the Jack Reacher series and hope to make time for the first one soon
Your Latest Book Purchase: Cupcakes at Carringtons by Alexandra Brown. I’ve also just been approved by Netgalley for the sequel Christmas at Carringtons so am pleased about that!
ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late): Jodi Picoult’s The Storyteller…just a brilliant book
Thanks for stopping by and if you have time why don’t you take part in the survey also?
